Cualquier cosa menos un zapato

Wednesday 8, September 2010

An exhibition showing the result of a collaboration between the designers collective Surtido and shoe brand Vialis.

More than 20 prototypes will be displayed, all using materials commonly used by Vialis to make their shoes.
Every designer/studio was given the same set of materials and the only rule was to design and build anything with it , but a shoe.

We designed  a lamp in leather which “skin” can be easily changed. We hopefully will be able to show some images soon.

The exhibition runs from the 16th September to the 16 October at the Sala Vinçon. Paseo de Gracia 96. Barcelona.

Bauhaus / Domestic

Tuesday 17, August 2010

French company Domestic will be presenting its new collection of products at ‘Maison et Objet’ in Paris next September.

The collection, which uses very simple manufacturing processes, like laser cutting or screen printing, is made up of a mug, a clock, a cushions and a set of three hooks.
Designers participating in this line include Klaus Hapaaniemi, Timorous Beasties, Geneviève Gauckler,  Antoine+Manuel, and Ana Mir+Emili Padros amongst others.

Our contribution to the collection is the Bauhaus coat hook set, which make reference to the famous design school.
The three simple geometric and bright colored shapes, will give a touch of color to the wall, while reminding us where contemporary design started.
