‘Langage Commun’ is the title of an exhibition that just opened in Bordeaux last week showing the work we made during the workshop of the same name with the students at the Ecole des Beaux Arts last May.
The aim of the workshop was to read and analyse many everyday objects, and then use their characteristics to create a new object.
The exhibition is open until the 13th of February at Arc en Rêve centre d’architecture in Bordeaux.

Marveland

From the 4th to the 20th of December the ‘Hungry Animals’ ( aka the whale that ate the elephant which ate a hippo which ate a turtle which had eaten a bird ) will be for sale at ‘Marveland’, a Christmas exhibition and pop-up shop dedicated to children curated by Hina Thibaud and Olivia Decaris.
The ‘Hungry Animals’ is a set of stencils and micro puzzle that we designed earlier this year.
Around twenty designers will be presenting covetable objects inspired by, and/or dedicated to children.

‘Marveland’ will take place at The Garage, 1 North Terrace, London SW3 2B, just around the corner from the V& A Museum.
Okay Studio & Friends

My friends from Okay Studio have invited me to take part on the ‘Okay Studio & Friends’ exhibition at Otrascosas de Villarrosàs opening in Barcelona next week.
A part from them, there will be also Roger Arquer and Study O Portable, exhibiting new pieces coming from across the ocean.
The exhibition opens on the 25th of November 2010, and runs until the 14th of January 2011.

Pecha Kucha Vol.77

Tomorrow night ( 27.10.2010) I will be talking about some of my science-inspired projects at Pecha Kucha Vol.77 in Tokyo.
The event takes place at SuperDeluxe and promises to be a very exciting night, with thirteen studios presenting their work.

Design Tide

We will be exhibiting our new paper lamp, Flatland, and some other things at the Design Tide in a couple of days in Tokyo.
You can find us at Hall A, stand 13.
Also on display there will be the REC & PLAY pen, designed in collaboration with Yuri Suzuki.
The exhibition starts on the 30th October and will close down on the 3th of November. More details here.
