A Touch of Code
Thursday 28, July 2011
Gestalten has recently published ‘A Touch of Code’, a book about installations and projects using technology that includes the Rec & Play project that we did in collaboration with Yuri Suzuki last year.

The book has a large quantity of projects that deal with a mix of hardware and software all showing a very different approach to the integration of technology into objects or displays, but always keeping a good balance between technology and poetry.
Glass Scene
Thursday 28, July 2011
The RGB Vases ( P242) are currently exhibited as part of ‘Glass Scene’ at the Villa Noailles, in Hyeres during the Design Parade 06. The exhibition runs from the 1st July to the 2nd October.
Designed originally in 2008 for a competition organized by the ICA in London for Veuve Clicquot, the vases works as a three-dimensional pixel. The glass is here used by its optical properties rather that just the physical properties. You can read more about the project here.

The exhibition includes a selection of pieces by well know designers like Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Pierre Charpin, Hella Jongerius, Ettore Sottsass, Martin Szekely and also quite a few new pieces by a younger generation of designers.
The Design Parade takes place at the Villa Noailles, an early modernist house built by Robert Mallet-Stevens between 1923-1927, which should be enough to give you a good reason not to miss the exhibition.

Achille is watching us
Sunday 27, March 2011
Matylda Krzykowski and Marco Gabriele Lorusso are curating an exhibition about personal objects with an emotional value, collected by international designers.
Called ‘Achille is watching us. An assortment of stories and memories‘, the title makes an homage to the great Achille Castiglioni, who was a passionate collector of everyday objects.
So when they told me, I sent to Matylda one of the most precious objects that I have found in a flea market so far.

The exhibition is located at Via Laghetto 9, just a few minutes away from the Duomo in central Milan.
