X-mass thoughts

Shop window installations for Terra Plana.

“Xmass thoughts” is a group of window displays designed for Terra Plana.
The displays were produced to decorate the company London’s outlets during the 2009/10 Christmas period.

Reflecting on the Terra Plana brand, which makes eco-friendly shoes, we decided to use only their shoes to display some Christmas related sentences without recurring to the obvious and overused.  The sentences were made creating an alphabet with shoe laces.

We took care to fix the shoes without damaging them so they could be sold after the season , avoiding to waste material which will contradict the company’s ecological engagement .
Each sentence was written in a direct an familiar language ( similar to the used in social networking sites) with the intention to deliver the messages with simplicity and generate a response from the passer by.
The austerity and honesty of the displays fitted well the brand, which is known for reconsidering every stage of the shoe making business to make ecological shoes at reasonable prices.
