“Tubo” is candle holder composed of three borosilicate glass tubes of different diameters cut at various lengths and connected together.
The central frosted tube contains a standard tea light candle that can be slid up and down. This is achieved by a simple system of magnets.
A diagonal cut on the central tube suggest a traditional candle shape, while the simplicity and geometry of the piece demands a very precise finish from the artisan.
“Tubo” was designed for the exhibition ” Edition of 6″ in which six design studios worked hand in hand with six craftsman from the region of Venice in Italy. The exhibition run in parallel to the Milan Furniture Fair 2011.
